I’m Gissel Arbelaez, creative director of Wanderportraits, a photography studio based in Buenos Aires specializing in high-end portrait experiences for individuals, couples, families, and creatives who want more than just traditional photography.
Wanderportraits was founded in 2019 with the vision of transforming photography into guided visual experiences that feel natural, emotional, and deeply connected to the moment. Today, I lead a small, carefully curated team of photographers, editors, and creative assistants who help bring each session to life while maintaining a consistent artistic vision and an elevated client experience.
Depending on the experience, I may personally photograph your session or direct it alongside my creative team to ensure every gallery reflects the signature Wanderportraits aesthetic: candid, colorful, and timeless. This structure allows the studio to grow while preserving its personal attention and artistic integrity.
My background in graphic design, content creation, and digital marketing naturally evolved into a deeper passion for visual storytelling. I also work as a photography educator, leading workshops and photo walks in Buenos Aires for both locals and international clients.
Originally from Venezuela and now based in Argentina, I’ve built my life around creativity, storytelling, and human connection through imagery.
